For several years the Group has been characterized by its commitment as a socially responsible corporate citizen.
Sustainable development is assessed as part of performance reviews which are carried out at appropriate intervals for each business line. These are conducted at least once a year based on an evaluation of the achievement of sustainable development action plans. Internal controls and audits ensure that their programs and mechanisms incorporate certain aspects of that system, in conjunction with the Strategy and Sustainable Development Department.

The Sustainable Development Report of the Group was rated B+ by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) for the third consecutive year.
GDF SUEZ’s sustainable development commitments make it an internationally recognized player. This recognition is reflected in its presence in extra-financial rating indices.
