The Courson Flower Show took place from May 14-16, 2010 at the Domaine de Courson in Essonne (91)

This bi-annual event held in spring and autumn has been supported by the Group Foundation for the last eight years. This year is set to be another great success, with nearly 30,000 visitors this spring alone.

The Fos-Cavaou LNG terminal receives its first methane tanker for the “cool-down” of its facilities

October 26, 2009 - The Fos-Cavaou LNG terminal has received its first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) shipment. This delivery will allow it to carry out the “cool-down” operation for this facility; this process cools the equipment containing the LNG to -160°C (-256°F).

At a time when 1.6 billion people are still living without electricity and three billion continue to use wood as a cooking fuel, access to energy is one of the 21st century's major challenges. To better understand the challenges of the problem, GDF SUEZ sponsored the study “Access to Energy for the Base of the Pyramid”, which was carried out by Ashoka and Hystra.
