Global Gas & LNG


The Global Gas & LNG business line drives the Group’s ambition in natural gas, covering the upstream activities of the gas value chain. The exploration-production of gas and oil, the liquefaction of natural gas, and its transport as Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) make the Group a key international player. The Global Gas & LNG business line has 1,940 employees in 18 countries.

 

 

 

 

Developing and securing the Group’s reserves

 

In exploration-production, the business line carries out oil and gas fields prospecting, development and operations in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the Caspian Sea, Asia and Australia.

With a balanced portfolio of licences in mature regions with existing infrastructures that leverage fast development, and in high-potential zones, the business line’s goal is to develop its reserves.
 

 

 

Consolidating GDF SUEZ leadership in LNG

 

In the LNG chain, the business line manages the Group’s interests in liquefaction plants along with a fleet of 18 tankers, and has regasification capacities in LNG terminals.

A driver of development in high-growth markets, the Group’s leadership in LNG enables it to push beyond current boundaries, particularly into Asia, while ensuring secure supplies for its European markets. The business line’s long-term objective is an LNG supply portfolio of 20 million tons per year.
