Biodiversity is indispensable for equilibrium in the life of human beings: it affects the production of factors that are essential for our life, our economy and our well-being. Creating propitious conditions for fauna, flora and every living creature to develop harmoniously and fighting the consequences of climate change are indispensable commitments.
Aware of these issues, the Corporate Foundation accompanies GDF SUEZ in its drive for responsible growth.
The principles of the program:
- preserve fauna and flora, particularly in urban environments,
- participate in the fight against the effects of climate change,
- support projects for reforestation and the preservation of threatened species.

 Inaugurated in 2009, the Princess Elisabeth Polar Station is the home base for scientific research expeditions (meteorology, seismology, magnetism etc.). In addition to being at the cutting edge of knowledge about climate change, the station meets the challenge of functioning only with renewable energies! An exceptional project supported by the GDF SUEZ Foundation since 2004. | |
