Results of the commercialization procedure for GDF SUEZ in 2010 capacities released at the Fos Cavaou LNG terminal

As part of its commitments to the European Commission concerning the release of long-term regasification capacities at the Fos Cavaou LNG terminal, GDF SUEZ has made available two separate batches of 1 bcm/y each starting on 2011/01/01 and ending no later than twenty years after the commercial start of the terminal. Interested parties had until May 21st, 2010 to qualify and until May 28th, 2010 to submit an offer.

The first commercialization procedure is now closed. It led to the assignment of one batch of 1 bcm/year for five years (2011-2015) to a shipper.

The remaining capacity will again be offered to the market in 2011 at the latest and will follow the same procedure of commercialization as the one used so far and described in the memorandum of information (MI) posted on GDF SUEZ corporate website.

This procedure of commercialization puts an end to the first stage of the commitments offered by GDF SUEZ as regards the release of long-term access capacities to the French network demanded by the European Commission on various entry points with an effect as of 2010 or 2011.
