The General Shareholders' Meeting is the opportunity, not only to interact directly with you, but also to review the past year and assess the outlook for the future.

GDF SUEZ is a solid Group and its assets place it at the forefront of its industry. It is ranked by Forbes as the world's largest utility company. We are confident about the Group's long-term growth prospects and the relevance of our strategy. However, in the short-term, we have not underestimated the extent of the current crisis and have taken very strong measures since last autumn.

GDF SUEZ held its Combined Shareholders' Meeting on May 4, 2009 and it was attended by nearly 2,000 shareholders. Another 8,000 had voted by proxy. Nearly 5,000 shareholders also used the Internet voting system for this Meeting.
