ISIN Code
The ISIN Code (International Securities Identification Number) is the international identifier of financial securities (shares, bonds, etc.). It replaced the Euroclear code (formerly Sicovam) as of June 30, 2003. For GDF SUEZ stock, it is: FR0010208488.
It is accompanied by a mnemonic code, which is more evocative and therefore easier to memorize: GSZ.

Eurolist
In February 2005, the three regulated markets of the Paris Stock Exchange - the First, the Second and the New Market – were consolidated into just one single list: Eurolist Paris. But companies are still assigned to different compartments depending on their capitalization:
- capitalization higher than 1 billion euros: compartment A,
- capitalization of 150 million to 1 billion euros: compartment B,
- capitalization less than 150 million euros: compartment C.

NYSE Euronext is the private company that ensures the markets function properly on a day-to-day basis.
Market Capitalization
This is a company’s market value at a given time. It is calculated by multiplying the total number of shares that make up the company’s capital stock by the price of a share at a given time. So it is a variable figure.
Deferred Settlement Service (DSS)
Since September 25, 2000, all transactions on the stock exchange have been conducted in cash. But it’s still possible to buy or to sell some securities on margin. That’s what we call DSS. For a fee, your financial intermediary lets you defer payment of your orders or delivery of the securities until the last trading day of the month. GDF SUEZ stock is eligible for DSS.
