The dividend is the share of the net profit that the Group distributes to its shareholders. It’s determined at the Shareholders’ Meeting, where the shareholders vote on the amount proposed by the Board of Directors after approval of the annual financial statements and allocation of the profit or loss.

The dividend is automatically paid in euros, with no need for any action on the part of the shareholder. On the day of payment, the dividend is paid directly to shareholders who are directly registered. For bearer shareholders and indirectly registered shareholders, GDF SUEZ pays the dividend to the financial institutions that are managing their stock.
The date for payment into the shareholder’s bank account may vary depending on the number of value days that may be applied by the shareholder’s financial institution.
Note: the Contribution Sociale Généralisée (CSG) and the Contribution au Remboursement de la Dette Sociale (CRDS) are now withdrawn by banks at the time the dividend is paid. Shareholders may opt for tax withholding at the rate of 18% (+ 12,1% of CSG/CRDS) for the dividends that they receive.
