Mission
The heating technician ensures the optimal operation of the heating facilities:
- either on a district heating site, which distributes heat to office buildings or apartment buildings (site technician),
- or a range of heating plants spread out in a city or region (travelling technician).
Main responsibilities
- Commissioning: control of fuel supply and storage, equipment pre-setting, start-up of facilities.
- Adjustments and monitoring: checks, detection of any drifts, operating anomalies or malfunctions, optimizing fuel consumption.
- Maintenance: diagnostic and repair operations, re-start of facilities, preventive maintenance, facility improvement work.
- Organization: inspection reports, scheduling fuel deliveries and renovation work.
