Energy-related services

In early 2009, GDF SUEZ launched COFELY, its new brand for energy-related services. Present in some fifteen countries, COFELY is the leading European energy efficiency and environmental services company.

Making buildings more energy and environmentally efficient

GDF SUEZ is contractually committed to its customers (whether companies, local communities, service sector or industrial companies) to provide energy-specific, sustainable performance results. These commitments involve the level of availability, continuity and quality of services of these facilities. The goal is to help customers achieve cost savings in energy.

Design and operate local, renewable energy production and distribution facilities

Recognized worldwide as a specialist in heating and cooling networks, the Group manages more than 180 such networks in Europe, in particular in Paris, Lisbon, London, Barcelona, Brussels, Monaco and Turin.

Buoyed by the search for the best environmental performance, this market is undergoing fast expansion, in particular with regard to eco-neighbourhoods, a concept developing very rapidly in Europe where GDF SUEZ is participating in several of these projects, most notably in the Paris region (Limeil-Brévannes), Amsterdam (Overhoeks), China (Tianjin Binhai) and Qatar (Energy City).

The London 2012 Olympic Games
In July 2008, COFELY won the contract to build, finance and operate the heating and cooling network for the London 2012 Olympic Games. The 1.5 billion Euro contract calls for operating the facilities that will serve the Olympic Park and the town of Stratford’s new development zone for a period of forty years.

Integrate services for guaranteed results

GDF SUEZ provides customers with local teams of professionals who can integrate services into a shared vision of sustainable development. In particular, COFELY offers facility management that brings together all services, except for energy supply, relating to a customer’s environmental management: gardening, cleanliness and sanitation, operation and maintenance of technical equipment, project management for construction work, management of security and safety equipment, telephone and greeting services, to name a few.
