- the biological and energy development of sludge resulting from sewage works.
In the waste sector, SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT ensures:
- collection of all kinds of waste (apart from radioactive waste) and urban waste,
- selection and preliminary treatment of waste,
- recycling, material, biological and energy recovery of recoverable waste, and elimination of residual waste by incineration or burial.
With 63,400 employees, SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT, present on the 5 continents, has secured a position as world leader, exclusively dedicated to the environment.
In 2007, SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT achieved a turnover of 12 billion euros and intends to invest 65 million euros in Research and Development (R&D) in 2008.
